How to clean, reuse & recycle your candle jar in five simple steps. A little care gives your jar a whole new life.

  1. Freeze your jar

    Let your candle cool completely, then place the jar in the freezer for at least 5 hours.

  2. Pop out the wax

    Gently loosen the wax and wick with a butter knife. If the wick is stuck, let the jar return to room temperature, then add a little warm water to help loosen it.

  3. Wash & dry

    Wipe out leftover wax, then wash with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry.

    Keep wax out of your sink and dishwasher.

  4. Give it a second life

    Turn your clean jar into a planter, a pen holder, or storage for little essentials. Prefer to recycle? Check your local glass recycling guidelines first.

  5. Or return it to us

    Return your clean Yo Soy jar for a $1 credit per jar. We accept undamaged lids, too. No need to remove the label.
